I returned to it in 2002, having left United Nations Association, the situation in the middle East and the UN secretary General who had hoped to go back for a second visit, had been prevented by the Americans. Why he could not have turned around and told them to mind their own business, I shall never know except I think he was caught by the short and curlies for the fact that the main UN building is on US soil.
